Apex Computer Systems, Inc. (Apex) was founded by C. Philip Chen, Ph.D. in 1984. The company strives to help emerging companies grow by leveraging information technology. Today, Apex is a national IT service provider with a presence in 47 states across the nation. Apex serves a broad spectrum of clients ranging from local small and medium-sized businesses to Fortune 500 enterprises.
Throughout the years, Apex has received numerous awards from its customers, including: 2008 Supplier of the Year Winner, Class III (nominated by US Bank) from the National Minority Supplier Development Council; 2009 Business Breakthrough Award from the Asian Business Association; and Asian Business Award Finalist for 2010 from the Los Angeles Business Journal.
Dr. Chen chose to launch his business in Cerritos due to its nickname of being "The Geographic Center of Southern California."
