Public Safety Town Hall meeting set for Wednesday, October 17

The community is invited to attend a Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, October 17 at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. The meeting will be televised on Cerritos TV3. Representatives from the Cerritos Sheriff's Station/Community Safety Center will present detailed information about crime in Cerritos. League of California Cities launches "Stop Wandering Weed" website

At the City Council meeting of August 9, 2018, the Cerritos City Council unanimously opposed the Bureau of Cannabis Control (BCC) interpretation of Proposition 64, The Medicinal and Adult-Use Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act, which proposes a regulation that would undermine local control by allowing the delivery of recreational cannabis to any jurisdiction, regardless of local regulations and bans.

The City of Cerritos would like to refer our residents to the "Stop Wandering Weed" website to review and consider the impact of the proposed delivery regulations being considered that would allow marijuana deliveries throughout our City that do not comply with local laws.
