Curb, Gutter, Sidewalk and Street Repair

Updated September 10, 2021

Street Improvement Program

The City of Cerritos maintains an innovative computer program called the Pavement Management System to help keep Cerritos streets in top shape. Periodic evaluations of the condition of residential and major streets are conducted by City staff. The City's Pavement Management System identifies the streets in most need of repair and recommends the most efficient way to repair them. Work may range from a minor repair to a complete reconstruction. In each year's budget, the City Council regularly sets aside funds for citywide street repair.

Reporting Problems

While City inspectors regularly check road conditions, the City appreciates the help of residents and business owners in reporting problems that they've noticed. To report a pothole, or any damaged street, curb, sidewalk, street median or gutter in public right-of-way areas, please visit GoRequest. You may also call the City's Maintenance Division at (562) 407-2632 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to arrange an inspection. Please give your name, address, telephone number, the location where you noticed the problem and any other details you feel are important. In most cases, a maintenance worker or inspector will visit the site and arrange for the appropriate repairs to be made as soon as possible.
