Letters to Santa

Santa has asked the Recreation Services Division to set-up a special post office box to receive letters from Cerritos boys and girls who wish to write to him. Letters will be forwarded to the North Pole. Letters must be received by the Recreation Services Division on or before Friday, December 16. Letters should be addressed to: Santa Claus, North Pole, P.O. Box 3130, Cerritos, CA 90703. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope to receive a response.

E-Mail to Santa

Surf onto the City of Cerritos Homepage and e-mail a greeting to Santa! A special e-mail address has been set-up by the City so children up to age 11 can send their holiday wishes electronically. Santa is very busy this time of year so the site will only be open Monday, November 28 through Friday, December 16. E-mail Santa by watching for his link on the Cerritos homepage at cerritos.us.

Santa's Holiday Island

Families are invited to enjoy some holiday cheer by visiting Santa Claus at the Heritage Park Play Island! Enjoy crafts, music, and caroling. Don't forget to bring a camera! Families are encouraged to bring two (2) canned goods or a new, unwrapped toy to be donated to local food charities and holiday gift programs such as Toys for Tots®. This free event will be held on Saturday, December 10 from noon to 3:30 p.m. at Heritage Park.

Whale Watching Excursion

Spend a day on this fun and exciting ocean cruise off the California coastline. This 2-½ hour boat trip looks for Pacific Grey Whales to observe on their annual migration. Please bring spending money for snacks and drinks that will be available for purchase on the boat, or bring a sack lunch to enjoy while on the cruise. No coolers permitted. Please come dressed in layers as the cruise does get chilly. Ages 3 and over are welcome, but all children under 12 years of age must pay and be accompanied by a paying adult. The bus will leave Heritage Park promptly at 10:30 a.m. and return at approximately 3:30 p.m. Waiver required. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure to complete required paperwork. Registration for this excursion is non-transferable. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN UNLESS THE TRIP IS CANCELLED BY THE CITY.

Festival of Friendship

Save the date! The City of Cerritos and the Let Freedom Ring Committee, in conjunction with the Los Cerritos Center, invite participants to attend the annual Festival of Friendship on Saturday, February 4, 2017. The festival provides the community with a unique opportunity to learn about the City's rich diversity through a variety of cultural acts performed on several stages throughout the mall. Local community groups will be the featured entertainment as they display an assortment of ethnic songs and dances of their native cultures. Visit each stage to obtain a special commemorative gift. For more information, please call the Recreation Services Division at (562) 916-1254.
