Recreation Services Program Highlights

Following is a listing of certain upcoming Recreation Services Division programs and activities. Many of the activities require advance registration and participation numbers are limited. Cerritos residents receive priority in registration. To find out about registration dates and procedures, please call the Recreation Services Division Office at (562) 916-1254.

Petersen Automotive Museum Excursion

Cerritos Resident Talent Show

The Cerritos Iron-Wood Nine Golf Course will play host to this 18-hole, shotgun start tournament. Win prizes for the longest drive and closest to the pin at pre-selected holes, as well as a chance to win a special hole-in-one prize for cash and other awards. The tournament will be held on Saturday, January 9 from 8 a.m. to noon. Fee for the tournament is $44 per person.

Petersen Automotive Museum Excursion

Discover the newly remodeled Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles on Saturday, February 20. The museum houses one of the country's largest collection of rare, new and unique objects relating to the history of the automobile. Exhibits include the Hollywood Gallery of Cars from Film and Television, Hot Rods, Motorcycles, the Hands on Interactive Discovery Center, and 47 years of Hot Wheels history. Bring spending money for food and souvenirs. Ages 6 and over are welcome, but children under 13 years of age must pay and be accompanied by a paying adult. The bus will leave Heritage Park promptly at 10:15 a.m. and return at approximately 4:30 p.m. Waiver required. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time to fill out required paperwork. Registration for this excursion is non-transferable. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN UNLESS THE TRIP IS CANCELLED BY THE CITY.
