Founded by David Oreck in 1963, Oreck Corporation began as a manufacturer of upright vacuum cleaners for the United States hotel industry. Today the company produces and sells vacuums, steam mops, floor machines, air purifiers and cleaning products for use in both hotels and homes throughout the United States, Canada and parts of Europe.
David Oreck had an obvious yet radical idea, designing a lightweight yet powerful vacuum to relieve the drudgery felt by hotel housekeepers using the much heavier models that were available to them. Naturally, hotel staff wanted to buy these vastly improved vacuum cleaners for their own use at home. Oreck’s original idea evolved, and Oreck Corporation began selling its unique products to residential consumers as well. Oreck products have earned a reputation for being the finest vacuums available. That singular, consumer-satisfying goal continues to drive Oreck to provide easy-to-use, lightweight and durable vacuums and other cleaning tools, each with exceptional power, for every room in the house.
The Oreck Clean Home Center in Cerritos is currently owned and operated by Suzanne and Robert Barkquest. The Cerritos Oreck Store is a family-run business and the Barkquests have operated the business for 44 years. They started as a small appliance repair store and added vacuums in 1975, and have prospered by selling a wide variety of products. The Oreck Cerritos Store sells vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, steam and floor mops, floor machines, vacuum bags, cleaning products, commercial grade vacuums and accessories and supplies for all Oreck products.
Additionally, Oreck Cerritos store offer sales, service and repairs on all brands of vacuums and small appliances, and it always offer a free estimate. The store offers a free 16-point inspection to determine the proper solution to repair any vacuum cleaner, including brands such as, Bissel, Dyson, Hoover and Electrolux. The Oreck Cerritos store also offers 50 percent off a tune-up on any Oreck vacuum.
The Oreck Cerritos store’s mission is to provide customers with the very best in service and the best possible price on all products it sells. When customers come to the Cerritos store, the hope is that they feel at home buying the equipment that works best with their cleaning style to help get a stubborn stain out of the carpet.
