Fleischmann's Vinegar Company entered the vinegar business in 1920 and traces its history back to the founding of its predecessor company, Fleischmann's Yeast. After nearly 100 years of vinegar making, Fleischmann's Vinegar Company is the nation's premier manufacturer of industrial vinegar and cooking wines.
In October 2002, in response to growing demand on the West Coast for its vinegar products, Fleischmann's Vinegar established its manufacturing and distribution operations in Southern California. For its corporate headquarters, the company sought a city with an optimal location to attract quality employees and to be accessible to its customers and vendors. The ideal city would also offer an array of local services, parks, recreational activities and restaurants. After an extensive search and a unanimous vote, Fleischmann's Vinegar chose the City of Cerritos.
Fleischmann's Vinegar operates seven vinegar manufacturing plants located strategically throughout the United States and one distribution center located outside the United States. Fleischmann's Vinegar is the world's largest industrial producer of white distilled vinegar and the number one producer of organic vinegars in North America. Fleischmann's Vinegar also produces a complete line of specialty vinegars, including rice, malt and balsamic varieties. The company also produces a variety of specialty cooking wines.
