City lights Cerritos Sculpture Garden in memory of residents who have died from COVID-19

March 26, 2021

The City of Cerritos has added more than 40 blue lights to the Cerritos Sculpture Garden in honor of each Cerritos resident who has died from COVID-19. The Cerritos Sculpture Garden is located near the Cerritos Sheriff's Station in the Cerritos Civic Center (at the intersection of Bloomfield Avenue and 183rd Street). The memorial lights are illuminated daily from sunset to sunrise. Additional lights will be added as needed in memory of each Cerritos resident who has died from COVID-19.

Members of the community are invited to visit the Cerritos Sculpture Garden to remember and honor those who have been lost due to the pandemic. The City encourages those visiting the sculpture garden to protect themselves and their families from COVID-19 by following all guidelines from public health officials. The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (DPH) recommends: wash your hands often, wear a cloth face covering around others, avoid touching your face, avoid sharing food and drinks, keep interactions with others short and maintain a distance of at least six feet from others.
