CCPA kicks off 2018-2019 season with Martina McBride

The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) opens the 2018-2019 Season with Grammy nominee Martina McBride. The Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Awards winner performs her classics, such as "This One's for the Girls" and "Independence Day" on Friday, September 7 at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $95 to $75.

Grammy winner Boz Scaggs returns to the CCPA on Saturday, September 8 at 8 p.m. in the "Out of the Blues Tour." The versatile singer-songwriter has lit up the musical scene with gems such as the Grammy-nominated Blues collection "Come on Home" and "But Beautiful." His latest album is "Out of the Blues." Tickets to Scaggs' concert range from $105 to $80.

Mark your calendar for "An Evening With Lyle Lovett and His Large Band" as they present the Grammy winner's greatest hits, such as "If I Had a Boat," "That's Right (You're Not From Texas)" and "Cowboy Man." Tickets for the 7 p.m. concert on Sunday, September 9 range from $90 to $70.

Don't miss three-time Academy Award and eight-time Grammy winner Burt Bacharach when he brings his talent and hits to Cerritos on Friday, September 14 at 8 p.m. Crowned the "maverick of the pop song" by "The New York Times," Bacharach performs with three singers and his longtime band members. Tickets range from $110 to $75.

In a riveting evening of hits, Amy Grant presents her greatest, including "Lead Me On," "Baby Baby," "That's What Love Is For" and "Every Heartbeat." Make sure to catch the Grammy winner on Saturday, September 15 at 8 p.m. Ticket prices range from $90 to $50.

Engelbert Humperdinck, "The King of Romance," has wooed generations of fans with the hits "Release Me (And Let Me Love Again)," "After the Lovin'," "The Last Waltz" and "Help Me Make It Through the Night." The legendary balladeer has earned four Grammy nominations and a Golden Globe. He performs in Cerritos on Sunday, September 16 at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $110 to $70.

Kenny G's undeniable blend of Pop-Jazz-New Age has proven to be a winning musical formula all over the globe, garnering the saxophonist an American Music Award, a "Billboard" Music Award and a Grammy for "Forever in Love." See for yourself when he plays in Cerritos on Friday, September 21 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $95 to $75. This show is sponsored by Cerritos Auto Square.

A musical institution, the Isley Brothers shook up multiple musical genres from Funk to Soul and R&B to Rock. With a broad spectrum of hits – including "Love the One You're With," "This Old Heart of Mine" and the Grammy-winning "It's Your Thing," the band clinched a spot in the Vocal Group Hall of Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band performs on Saturday, September 22 at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $110 to $90.

Motown powerhouse Gladys Knight shattered music charts with the Grammy-winning tunes "Love Overboard," "Neither One of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye)" and "Midnight Train to Georgia." "The Empress of Soul" delivers her timeless hits on Saturday, September 29 at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $135 to $80.

Oscar-winning Hollywood legend Shirley MacLaine has done it all: television, movies, Broadway. In a free-wheeling, fun-filled afternoon featuring stills and clips of her acting career, the icon shares details of her life as an actress, author, political activist and spiritual searcher. MacLaine will also answer questions from the audience during this appearance at the CCPA on Sunday, September 30 at 2 p.m.
