MINUTES OF A JOINT SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF CERRITOS HELD MARCH 10, 2011
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 1:00 p.m. City Council Chambers, 18125 Bloomfield Avenue, Cerritos, California.

PUBLIC COMMENTS
There were no public comments.
NEW AND OLD BUSINESS
Consideration of a Joint Resolution of the Cerritos City Council and Cerritos Redevelopment Agency approving Instruments securing Cerritos Redevelopment Agency obligations under a loan by the City of Cerritos to the Cerritos Redevelopment Agency
Art Gallucci, City Manager/Executive Director, Torrey Contreras, Community Development Director, and Dennis Roy, Agency Counsel, provided a report.
Council/Agency and staff discussion ensued regarding on-going financial obligations impacts to the City of this action, the responsibilities of state elected officials and the City’s lobbyist in reporting potential changes in legislation in a timely fashion, the upcoming public hearing scheduled for March 24, 2011, the land lease ownership on the existing deeds of trust, and the total amount of the loan.
The item was opened for public comments. There were no individuals who submitted any written or verbal comments related to this item.
MOTION: It was moved by Council/Agency Member Barrows and seconded by Council/Agency Member Edwards to adopt JOINT RESOLUTION NO. /RESOLUTION NO. CRA, A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE CERRITOS REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND CERRITOS CITY COUNCIL APPROVING INSTRUMENTS SECURING CERRITOS REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OBLIGATIONS UNDER A LOAN BY THE CITY OF CERRITOS TO THE CERRITOS REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY.
